See the Bahamian Iguana
These fearsome looking but gentle creatures are the only iguanas of their kind. The Northern Bahamian Iguana can only be found on Exuma and, sadly, they are endangered. Located at Allen’s Cay, the iguanas welcome visitors and love when you bring them a snack! Almost every boat excursion/tour company on the island offers trips to Allen’s Cay and the iguanas.
Island Scuba Diving
Dive Exuma offers both scuba diving classes and diving tours. Explore the only tidal blue holes in the world, reefs around Exuma, and shipwrecks.
Sandbar Strolls
There are numerous sandbars around Exuma. If you have the time, be sure to stop and stroll along one and take in the stunning views of turquoise waters. Many tours offer the opportunity to stop at a sandbar, though not all list them as part of the itinerary. If you are on a tour that does not list a sandbar, be sure to as your guide.
T.T. Watersports offers a unique sandbar experience. Rent a kayak or paddle board and paddle to sandbars. Want to skip the tour and explore on your own? Check out the water bikes at Hydro Watersports 242.
Swim With The Stingray
Head over to Stocking Island and swim with the stingrays at Chat ‘N’ Chill. They love attention but they love food even more! They will glide from person to person to say hello and, hopefully, to get a snack.
We love Exuma So much we made a whole site about it!
